The Systems Analyst is responsible for the following:

  • Communicating extensively with clients.
  • Analyzing clients' existing systems and production workflows.
  • Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs.
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
  • Producing project feasibility reports.
  • Presenting proposals to clients.
  • Working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met.
  • Drawing up a testing schedule for the complete system.
  • Overseeing the implementation of a new system or solution.
  • Planning and working flexibly to a deadline.
  • Writing user manuals.
  • Providing training to users of a new system or solution.
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
  • Working closely and productively with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff.
  • Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work.
  • Participate in the research and implementation of solution and services.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, when dealing with colleagues, service providers and customers.
  • Presenting oneself in clean, neat and professional attire when dealing with customers, service providers, etc.
  • Providing one-on-one end-user problem resolution through diverse communication methods: phone, remote connection, on-line, on-site, etc.
  • Planning and maintaining resolution schedules.


  • Making recommendations for purchase of technology resources.
  • Working with groups within IT infrastructure and IT applications in resolving problem issues.
